About Me:

Picture
As an innovative and collaborative leader, my job is to distill big ideas into bite-size pieces, to best utilize and support a diverse team in creating a unified, beautiful, and unique finished product.

As an experienced Scenic Designer and Charge Artist with a demonstrated history of working in regional theatres and higher education (Dance, Opera, and Theatre), I am highly skilled in Design, Scenic Art, Creative Direction, Corporate and Product Branding, Photography, Research, Drafting (Hand-drafting and Vectorworks), and Teaching.

I have a Master of Fine Arts (MFA)- 2015 focused in Theatrical Design and Production (Southern Illinois University, Carbondale), a B.A. in Art & Design (Alma College, MI), a Marketing Management certificate (Colorado State University) and an MBA (Colorado State University) with an emphasis in Marketing and Branding to round out my education.

As my skills have evolved over-time, I've taken on more and more complex projects, and sincerely enjoy collaborating towards a long-term vision and then ensuring that my team has the support to achieve these goals.

Several years ago, I happened upon theatre in a very accidental way, but I found it immediately and irrevocably addicting. I love that every day is different and that you never know what will be thrown your way, but that you always learn to adapt, grow, think, innovate and create. "The show must go on!", Right?
It's wonderful to be able to work every day in an environment full of passionate and creative individuals, and students who go above and beyond in pursuit of 'living the dream'.
This is the approach that I bring to each job I fulfill. I want to nurture the creative passion of my team and envision and future that we can build together.

As a designer, I continue to evolve and to develop my own personal aesthetic, as the thing that I love the most about theatre is that it is ever-changing.  This is what I aspire to be as well.

“The theatre is so endlessly fascinating because it's so accidental. It's so much like life.”
-Arthur Miller
